New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman filed a $40-million lawsuit Aug. 24 against billionaire businessman Donald Trump, alleging his Trump University has defrauded students.

Donald Trump Accused Of Cheating Students Out of Real Estate Education

According to the lawsuit, 5,000 paying students enrolled at Trump University to learn about the real estate moguls business, banking acumen and investing techniques, as well as meet him at least once.

Instead, students were able to have their picture taken with a cardboard cutout of Trump. Additionally, between 2005 and 2011, according to the lawsuit, the university hoodwinked customers into paying for a string of courses that did not deliver on real estate investment content.

in 2011, the New York Education Department said Trump University was not licensed to call itself a university; the program changed its name to Trump Entrepreneur Institute.

More than 5,000 people across the country who paid Donald Trump $40 million to teach them his hard sell tactics got a hard lesson in bait-and-switch, Schneiderman said in a press release.

As families get ready to pack up their bucket and spade for the peak holiday season, The UK Cards Association has pulled together guidance on using debit and credit cards abroad to help them get the best value for money when spending abroad.

Latest figures show that there were 145 million debit and credit cards in issue in the UK. Almost 47 million people now hold a debit card – that’s 91% of the UK adult population. In addition there are just over 30 million credit card holders.

In total, £25 billion was spent outside of the UK on debit and credit cards last year. Debit cards made up the majority, with UK consumers spending £15 billion on them in 2012.

Research conducted in July 2013 across the members of The UK Cards Association shows that the typical transaction rate for purchases on debit cards is 2.75% and credit cards is 2.99%. Using

Aimed at new customers who want to benefit from a generous annual fee-free cashback deal, the Card offers 5 per cent cashback on up to £2,000 of spending within the first three months (up to a maximum of £100 cashback.)   Competitive tiered cashback rates of between 0.5 per cent and 1.25 per cent then immediately apply to purchases dependent on spend levels. There is no restriction on the type and number of purchases that attract cashback or the cashback amount earned after the introductory period ends.   Recent American Express research highlights that for nearly two thirds (63 per cent) of adults, the rewards offered on credit and charge cards are seen as an important factor when deciding which plastic to go for. Aimed at new customers who want to benefit from a generous annual fee-free cashback deal, the Card offers 5 per cent cashback on up to £2,000 of spending within the first three months (up to a maximum of £100 cashback.)   Competitive tiered cashback rates of between 0.5 per cent and 1.25 per cent then immediately apply to purchases dependent on spend levels. There is no restriction on the type and number of purchases that attract cashback or the cashback amount earned after the introductory period ends.   Recent American Express research highlights that for nearly two thirds (63 per cent) of adults, the rewards offered on credit and charge cards are seen as an important factor when deciding which plastic to go for.
